Why
The reason to provide and be involved in a Community Bible Study is as simple as its name. It provides an opportunity for the Community to benefit, interact, and be challenged by the Word of God. Also, the participants - panel members and host - experience through time, in a very real sense, what it is like to be Community.
Who
There are 3 qualifications that should be met to be a Panelist or Host.
- The person should be self confessed Christian.
- The person should have a Passion for the Word of God and believe it is both true and infallible.
- The person should have out going personality and someone who enjoys interaction.
Where
Either at a Radio Station or at a Cable TV Station. The particular Community Bible Study that you are involved in locally will dictate.
How
The type of Community Bible Study is going to dictate how you facilitate the study. Here some options to consider:
- Host and panel meet at designated time at Radio Station and do the Study live radio.
- Host and Panel meet at designated time at Radio Station and tape Study to be presented at a different time.
- Host and Panel meet at designated time at Radio Station to do the Study live on the Radio and at the same time, video tape for later broadcast on local Cable TV station.
- Do the Study live on Radio and at a separate time, video tape study for local Cable TV Station.
- Each situation is different. The key is flexibility.
When to start a Community Bible Study
When you have spent quality time praying about this ministry and feel God has given you a desire to see this happen for your Community
When you have a least 1 committed Host, who will facilitate and be dedicated for an extended period of time to attend every Bible Study. This person is essential to the flow of the Study and will make sure all panel members are included, making them feel at ease and involved.
When you have a group of at least 12 individuals that are committed to be part of the rotating panel. The panel works best when members rotate monthly.
